SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the responsibility of the Service Director, the Auto Detailing Attendant/Washer is responsible for cleaning new and used cars. He must apply the appropriate aesthetic treatments to the preparation of new and used vehicles before delivery as well as to the vehicles of the customers of the after-sales service and to respect the descriptive estimates and the execution time envisaged by the dealer and/or or the builder.
MAIN DUTIES
• Wash the exterior of the vehicle, wash the interior and exterior windows and wipe the door stops;
• Apply wax to the bodywork and wipe or polish the surface with non-abrasive products;
• Vacuum the interior of vehicles to remove dust and debris;
• Clean upholstery, carpets and other surfaces using appropriate cleaners, applicators and cleaning devices;
• Apply conditioners and preservatives to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with stain-repellent chemicals;
• Clean the engine and the engine compartment with specialized cleaning equipment and various cleaning products;
• Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials that ordinary cleaning processes cannot dislodge, using your experience and following the manufacturer's instructions;
Job description
• Inspect vehicles to detect visible defects such as dents, scratches and tears on the trim;
• Refurbish the appearance of the engine compartment, carpets and upholstery;
• Put primers on the tires and on the walls of the tires;
• Ensure order and cleanliness in the workshop;
• Ensure at all times the cleanliness and good condition of the showroom and vehicles in inventory;
• Ensure that the appropriate decals are displayed in the vehicle window;
• Remove any non-required decals from the vehicles sold;
• Remove snow from vehicles located in the concession parking lot;
• Position vehicles in the parking lot;
• Install the mudguards on the vehicles;
• Ensure compliance with Quebec occupational health and safety laws in order to maintain a safe environment;
• Perform any other task at the request of his superior and according to the needs of the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma (DES) and minimum experience of 5 years in a similar function;
OR Attestation of professional studies (AEP) in automotive aesthetics;
• Valid driver's license.
